For Eleventh time in Shreya Ghoshal concert ..
I wonder why it took so long to write down about my tenth SG concert that happened on 5th March Of year 2016 @ Nehru Indoor Stadium,Chennai ..
Let me recall memories I brought from the event 😊
Hmmm ..hmmmm...hmmm... ok ..let me bring down one by one from my memory lane.. 😂
On a neutral day,guess I was consulting fam doc..I have low immune for the frequent visits then. only there I got to hear abt The Queen’s Visit to Chennai within a short span of days.
Yus,She haven’t performed for Public concert anywhere in Tamilnadu in the past year quite unusually... were dying to meet her to just convey my hearty wishes on her sudden Wedding that happened on 5th feb of year 2015 in such a Quiet Atmosphere without Media attention. But the meet havnt happened as thers noway for personal greet n meet in India.
Surprised about venue ...where she have been innumerable times for receiving Awards as well she performed earlier for Maestro Ilayaraja air concerts as Multi-Artists. Also I have been with my sons for weekend Roller skating classes and tournaments that held on same stadium regularly earlier.So cool chilling down spine on hearing THE FIRST EVER SOLO CONCERT by SHREYA GHOSHAL in the same venue 😍😂
I love Chennai a lot that’s how . I believe blindly in Theory of Relativity 😎 well ,I decided to take front rows.somehow Reserved two seats only .One for me ,one for my lil son Mukil 😊 The city was decorated well with huge banners and lots of Hoardings throughout every street road.. like never before..and the promos went really well in all fms and daily papers and even I got to hear her voice inviting @ Express avenue in break of a late night show😂.. it’s turned like festival for whole Chennai .. people who knows me (eventually other Chennai SGians )called to talk about the Queen on seeing whenevr whomever crossed over those Posts only. That’s how my doctor too started speak about Shreya Ghoshal only .. lol I was left grinning then 😁
Days passed ,Concert day arrived .Went to venue in the morning itself to collect passes.There was messed up in issuing . Somewhat convinced to grab mine and liked the Humangous Banners Of Shreya Ghoshal from entrance to every inch of Nehru Stadium..Took lot of pictures standing leaning over her poses 🙈
Evening too came ,Got ready Husband left us at entrance..he went for some Vijay Antony movie it released around.. he planned to pick up us at end of his movie .lol. Unfortunately the concert started only after his movie break ..
Little queue were formed when we entered the gates of our passes.. Me and Mukil stood first there.. and waited to enter.. impatiently.. after sometime they opened our entrance door itself..wandering at empty stadium.. We were very first to enter too .. felt like flying and clicked some pictures of gaali galleries 😜 After all why I was there.. Shreya Band were doing rehearsals but I thought as I was late alredy on seeing Hrishikesh Singing on stage 😝 realised after a while only it as rehearsal!!! After couple of hours left waited ..
In between I was searching for my tweeples in crowd ..managed to wave hands some groupie also waved and screamed in return but they were not at all my Twitter gang..mad fun .found out after a while only .. 🤣
Around 7.40 pm .. Queen’s voice came frm backstage.. YAAARAAA Of SUNN RAHA HAI NAA TU ...Crowd went mad ..Screamed from every corner seeing Melody Queen.. She appeared like no lesser than Angel ...full of white dazzling and glittering.. Her concert entries are always so special for an adorable admirer like me..My seats are lil closer to Huge stage found fixed centre of stage 😊
I loved audience ..they cheered up with ful Of hearts and energetic like never I saw in Chennai before but anytime my Chennaites are the Besht Audience in any Shreya Ghoshal concerts whole over world..The Love and Respect And supports to Shreya is Huge than ur imagination in my Chennai or even beyond Chennai in my Tamilnadu 😎🤘🏻
Moving on ,She surprised us by singing Mohe rang do laal for first time in her concerts,She did unplugged one on repeat mode too .. it was divine and she carried Deewani Mastani ,Pinga.. all Bajirao mastani songs back to back in beginning of the show ..Adding more surprise she sang “Mirutha mirutha..” praising Maestro Imman sir and entire stadium was left jaw dropped by her ,she sang those male parts too so flawless (only with lil mispronouncing).. that added more cuteness in live of her beauty ..fetched round of applause.. she pointed it as she started this song rehearsal only while boarding flight in the morning for Chennai 😇🤘🏼
Shreya came power packed for missing it over two yrs of Chennai audience visibly . Every songs she sang with such Perfection at ease with all her heart dedicatedly.. Such Visual as well as Audible treat ..She lavishing the enthralling audience.. Not just Her presence but the audience too cheered up in the way pretty much adorable..Self treated well in both way. 😍
Agar yum miljao, Saans,Tu meri dosti,Manwa Lage ,Samjhawan ..,One more time Unplugged on repeat ...Audience got no space to breathe..enthralled on watching her responding well for “once more” 😍 saibo,Onna Vida,Ogo er kichu To nai (without music in audience requests) all came in her songlist following Barso re,Ye ishq hai... she took a lil break for our breathe too .. 😜
She began second part with Zoobi doobi so unusually .. she broke her own songlist herself.. but I was in popcorn queue at door side helplessly stranded .. she started singing Oo la la too.. hmm .. I got back to seat .. she finished oo la la and spoke “what you guys ate and came ,u all seems energetic.is it power of idli or dosa...” something to Audience.. I got shocked thought she was asking popcorn from my hands then lol 😂 she sang Munbe vaa,Jao Pakhi/eklo cholo re(aiyoo cdnt remember it well exactly) Raat bhar,O rangrez,Teri ore,Teri meri,jaadhu hai Nasha hai,tere mast mast do nain,chori kiya re jiya,Tere liye,nagada sang dhol,som more songs.. I cdnt remember well as of now.. ending with Mere dholna sun... left me hanging on .. 🤥
Since then she havnt visited my Chennai for a public concert avoided totally in 2017 .She havnt visited by 2015 also .She came back 23rd feb 2018 for an absolute Private gig only . Wonder what are Chennai event organisers doing these two couple of years without bringing her here for back to back concerts like early days. How I wish her void gets replaced with concerts in Chennai.
